It may be that some people may not pay attention to the secrets of life by which they must live. But being bent on tapping into these, they will surely bring us to discover a joy of newness. Such results can be found in spiritual blessings that we will receive that we may often take for granted. There blessings come to light through the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Spiritual secrets are based on heavenly gifts that come from above.

These gifts are obtained through faith and a devoted walk in holiness. Through prayer and meditation - food for the soul's journey, Christians will begin to receive these blessings. When raising young children parents can tap into their Almighty source. Denis Waitley (b.1933) an American motivational speaker, consultant and author observed, “The greatest gifts you can give to your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.” Through a faith-filled life, a Christian upbringing, responsibility and independence are rightly bolstered.

A Right Heart

With wavering hearts some of us are wrecked by guilt. Such a calamity we must avoid by releasing our heart of its burden. The right way to get out of this rut is through seeking the fruit of bodily penance. In doing exactly what Good Book instructs, become obedient to the Word and be set free of the chains that prevent you from living a life for Christ. It is the only way to free yourself from the bondage of sin. Do not be like withering grass, but opt to free yourself from imprisonment. An American country music singer Wyonna Judd (b. 1964) was sure, “Most of us are imprisoned by something. We're living in darkness until something flips on the switch.” Come to know Christ and see this bondage of imprisonment disappear.

Walk in Light

Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882 – 1945) the 32nd President of the United States, statesman and political leader remarked, “Confidence … thrives on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them it cannot live.” To walk in the light gives us confidence. It signals blessings, peace and security. Through this strategy we are able to find prestige in our old age that will overflow with satisfaction for a life well lived. All the days of your life, wherever you may go, goodness, mercy and kindness will follow you.

This light of life is meant for everyone. All we have to do is pray for it and obey His commandments. With a remarkable beam you will be a light in the world which is reminiscent of the Great Shepherd that has shown us the way via the cross. Then and only then will we be able enjoy festal blessings under His protection. It takes an act of faith to accomplish these good deeds. The amazing thing is, that all of creation is invited to share in His banquet. In our faith-walk there must always be a deep and absolute honesty in what we do.

A Big Mistake to Walk in Darkness

Do not be inflicted by spiritual worldliness and trust unfaithful people. When a person goes down this road, he may end up becoming a person of sorrow. There will only be tears of grief when we commit our life to the world-system. Don't be swayed by having world-wide popularity that can be a dead end for living the best way you can. Ruling over the world, having people bow down to you, telling you how great you are, may result in paying homage and trusting in the wrong things in this life. In the Bible we are warned that we must resist these temptations. The sting of death and much suffering come from having selfish hearts that are delinquent.

Leo Buscaglia (1924 – 1998) advised, “Worry never robs tomorrow of it sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” In a Christian's repertoire there must never be an arsenal of worries and discontentment. At all times, be positive and live victoriously for the battle has already been won. It is well to do so with an open heart. It was Leonardo da Vinci (1452 – 1519) an Italian painter, sculptor, musician and anatomist that noted, “Tears come from the heart not the brain.” In a world that is quite bustling with noise we must therefore have a contemplative heart that does not distract us from our main focus in life - that is the salvation of our soul.
